Lynda Harrison- Fawkham & West Kingsdown

Ian Bosley has lived in West Kingsdown since 1953, first in Hollywood Lane and then married Pat in 1968 and moved to The Grove.  He has a grown up family with one son living in the village with his own family.

Ian trained as an Accountant and after a career as an insurance broker is now retired.  He takes an active role in the local community as a Governor of the local primary school, treasurer of the parish church, trustee and treasurer of the Friends of St Edmunds.  He is also a trustee and treasurer of DGSM Your Choice, a charity helping people with learning difficulties.

Ian has been a District Councilor since 1987 and has served on many committees.  Ian is currently a member of the Environment Select Committee, Social Affairs Committee,  Local Development Framework Advisory Group and Chairman of the Development Control Committee.  He served as Chairman of the District Council in 2005/06.

He is also a member and Chairman of the West Kingsdown Parish Council, which he joined 32 years ago.

Ian says: “I look forward to the challenge of working for Fawkham , West Kingsdown and the Sevenoaks District in these straightened times and ensuring that the council continues to give value for money and service to the community”.
