John Edwards-Winser - Otford & Shoreham

John and his wife, Frances, have lived in Otford for most of their lives. They have three children who all grew up in Otford and went to the village school.

John is an active member of the community looking after the interests of local residents wherever he can, working with residents to improve the quality of life in the village by helping to fight unwanted development and working to improve village road safety among other things.

Since retiring, John was elected to the Otford Parish Council and is now Vice Chairman and is an active member of the Otford Parish Plan Steering Committee. By standing for the District Council John believes he would have a stronger voice in representing the views of residents in both Otford and Shoreham.


John has been an active beekeeper for the past 20 years, you may have seen his beekeeping stand at the Otford village fete, enjoys gardening, DIY and holidays abroad.
