Dee has been a District Councillor since 2003 and had the honour of being appointed Chairman of the District in 2011.

Dee is Chairman of Licensing for the District and also sits on various other committees including the Finance & Resources Committee and the Standards Committee. She regards planning to be one of the most important functions of the council and strongly supports the protection of the Green Belt from inappropriate development.

Dee was also Deputy Chairman of Hextable Parish Council and was instrumental in creating the Parish Council for the village in 2008. She is proud that as Chairman of the Facilities Committee she has overseen the community buildings, which were once a financial liability, now contribute nearly 30% of the total Parish income.

She is a long serving London Magistrate and was Chairman of Governors for a number of years at a special school.

Dee has been happily married to Ray since 1977 and they have two grown up children and two grandchildren. She runs a small commercial property company and not suprisingly doesn't have time for hobbies!
